Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the A&B Waltham Concrete website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site or accepting an estimate from us, you agree to them.
If a signed estimate or written agreement for your job says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.
What we do
A&B Waltham Concrete is a concrete contractor in Waltham, MA. We build driveways, patios, walkways, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings and foundations, and we do related work such as stamped finishes and concrete cutting for homes and businesses in Waltham and the cities around it.
The descriptions on our home page and service pages are general information about the trade. They aren't a promise that a particular method, finish or result fits your property. We decide that after we've seen the site.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, including the size of the area, the condition of what's there now, access for trucks and equipment, and the finish you choose.
Concrete work often reveals things only once the old slab is out or digging starts, such as soft or wet ground, buried debris, roots or old footings. If something like that changes the work, we'll stop, tell you what we found and agree on any change in price with you before we go ahead.
Any figures or price examples on this website are general information, not a quote. Your price is the one in your written estimate.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour if rain, heat or cold would hurt the finished slab, and we'll let you know as early as we can when that happens.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (781) 622-9470 as soon as you know. Once concrete has been ordered or work has started, you may owe for materials already delivered and work already done, as set out in your written estimate.
Payment
Your written estimate sets out what you'll pay and when, including any deposit and when the balance is due. We'll ask for payment by the methods listed there.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. Work we've finished stays your responsibility to pay for even if the project is stopped partway.
Your part of the job
We need clear access to the work area on the scheduled days, so please move vehicles and keep children and pets away from the forms and fresh concrete.
Tell us about anything underground you know of, such as sprinkler lines, drainage pipes or buried tanks, because we can only work around what we know is there. You're also responsible for keeping people, cars and animals off new concrete until we tell you it's ready, since marks and damage while it cures, the waiting period while it hardens and gains strength, aren't something we can undo.
Warranties and what concrete does
We stand behind our work, and any written warranty for your job is the one in your estimate or agreement. Outside of that written warranty, we make no other promises, spoken or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Concrete can get small hairline cracks even when it's built right. We cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, to keep cracking where it belongs, but we can't promise a slab will never crack. Small differences in color and texture between pours, or between new and old concrete, are normal too.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as heavy equipment or trucks beyond what the slab was built for, deicing salts and chemicals, tree roots, changes to drainage or grading after we leave, freeze and thaw damage from water that wasn't directed away as we advised, or work done later by someone else.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or inconvenience.
We're licensed and fully insured. Nothing here limits any right you have under Massachusetts law that can't be waived.
Using this website
The information on this website is provided as is, for general information. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or current, and you shouldn't rely on it in place of an estimate for your property.
Text, photos and other content on the site belong to A&B Waltham Concrete or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking us first.
If we disagree
If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems are easiest to fix when we come back out and look at them together. Your satisfaction is guaranteed, and we'll work in good faith to make it right.
If we can't settle it that way, these terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and any legal claim will be brought in the courts of Massachusetts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed estimate or agreement.
